Hello to everyone!
Whether you are just across the road or across the Atlantic, welcome to my very occasional newsletter. I am writing from a small, and very busy restaurant in Chinatown, NYC, which seems all the more strange because I have just come from Norway and Ireland. Anyway, now that the new CD, "Let the Melody Live On" has just been released, I will be staying in touch a little bit better.
What? You didn't know about the new album? Well, then, I should talk about the guests players: Andy Goessling and Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth, also the great BBQ Bob plays harp on 2 tracks, and of course a cameo by the legendary Pinetop Perkins. But I wont do that now. Instead, I'll remind you about the FREE Downloads on my website, and remind you to friend us and fan us on Facebook, follow us on Twitter, listen to us on LASTFM.COM and LALA.COM. And most importantly, I'll tell you how great this ginger and scallions taste with spicy roast pork.
Please forward this to ALL music lovers you know.
FESTIVAL NEWS:
Festivals this summer were The Hickory Smoked Blues Festival and Music on the Mountain, both in upstate NY, also a great slot opening for Ladysmith Black Mambazo at the Bellayre Music Festival, also upstate. Then we tore em up in Norway at the Silda Jazz Festival. We are scheduled for Oktoberfest at Hunter Mountain this fall.
THE NEW CD:
WNTI'S Melanie Theil says: . 'Let the Melody Live On' is quirky, fun, a touch of the blues with a splash of honky tonk…The addition of Andy [and] Tim [Railroad Earth]...is a bonus beyond compare.”
Need I say more? Well, I will say that you can Buy One on my site and get downloads on Itunes.
NORWAY HIGHLIGHTS:
Live Recordings (Downloading Welcome!), a few Videos, and tons of Photos from Slidajazz Festival, Stavanger Blues Club, Buckley's in Oslo, will soon be available on Facebook.
Hope everyone is doing well and going out to see live music often. The Road Dogs look forward to seeing you soon.
All the best,
George
